Future CDI's in QLD

I would also like to add my thanks to these tireless people who ran such a great event. It takes so many people and Toowoomba Committee and DQ had loads of them, well done guys.
I was just reading on the EFA national site and again it brought home to me the importance of these CDI events. Our elite riders need certain % scores from judges from a country other than their own to qualify for the Olympic Games. How else can they get them if we don't have CDI's in Australia, they have to take their horses overseas! Also the World Cup rankings are based on maximum 10 scores in the proceeding 12 months, I'm sure you can do the math, we just don't have 10 CDI's in Australia, so our riders world cup rankings are made smaller. I know our horses here aren't scoring like Anky but imagine what their rankings would be if they had 10 scores, or as in Europe they get to pick the 10 highest, throw away the bad ones!

So my question is "Can it all be done again next year?" It is a huge undertaking both workwise and financially, there are a lot of rules to run the event that are stipulated by the FEI which need to be followed.

Just to let you know that Dressage Queensland subsidised and conducted the CDI-W and CD-Y part of this event, so some of the hard earned DQ funds helped to make this happen. Of course it couldn't have happened at all if the Toowoomba Dressage Group didn't agree to this huge undertaking and worked so hard to make it the success it is. They spent loads of dollars on the surfaces of ALL arenas for ALL of the riders.
It not only was so good for our Elite athletes but great for everyone in Queensland Dressage to be able to see horses and riders of this quality in greater numbers.

So my question is will it happen again next year? Does everyone want it to happen again? If your answer is yes then please become a part of helping it to happen. The Comminuty of Dressage in Queensland needs to pull together, it needs lots of us to make it happen

So if you want it to happen let the Dressage Queensland Committee know that you are willing to help, and then be ready to attend the meetings and help it happen.
